Need More Veggies AND More ENERGY? Try The Green Smoothie Solution!
Friday, August 15, 2008 at 09:18AM You all know that I LOVE Smoothies! I think they can be a great breakfast solution for moms on the go! But I never thought about adding GREENS to my smoothies. If it ever had crossed my mind -- I must have thought "yuck."
But recently I met The Raw Divas, and they helped to change my mind. Not only did they open my mind to the idea of green smoothies -- but they gave me lots of ideas & inspiration for trying it in their Green Smoothie Challenge that I finally overcame my fear and made my first green smoothie! It was excellent!
How do you make a green smoothie? Simple -- take a regular fruit smoothie and add FRESH greens -- cucumber, lettuce, spinach, celery etc. Don't you turn up your nose mom -- you know you need more veggies and this is a *painless* way to get them. No -- you won't gag at all IF you follow the Raw Diva's suggestions!
In fact, you just might wind up with a healthy addiction! I know I have!
